I actually did go to the sites FAQ. Twas no help at all.
Oh. I didn't mean the FAQ... I meant it should be pretty self explanatory just by looking at it :-)

This Is A Non-Jargon Explanation
Not obvious at all, unless you happen to know what "pinging weblog.com" means. And you can't find that out without digging through the weblogs.com FAQ, and then you have to understand what XML-RPC is, and all sorts of technical jargon. AFAICT, what it means for the lay-person, is that if you post to livejournal, weblogs.com will be told that you have done so, and where to find your journal entries, which means that your livejournal will show up on the "recent entries" page of weblogs.com
