Filter Your Journal by Security Level
You'll be excited to hear that we've implemented a much-requested new feature for our Paid Account holders. You can now filter your journal by security level, which means you can easily see all entries that you posted public, friends only, private, or even to a custom friends group. All you need to use is this URL:

http://frank.livejournal.com/security/level

Replace frank with your own journal and replace level with: public, friends, private, or group:groupname.

This new feature is available for use by Paid Members on any journal, or by any user on a Paid Member's account.

Thanks to soph for all her hard work on the security level filters!

No, that lets me choose which friends to view.

It does not let me see only the entries posted by my friends which are filtered (friends-only, custom).

No, that lets you view only those filtered friends.

http://allah_sulu.livejournal.com/friends/CUSTOMFILTERNAMEHERE .

That will then give you a friends page with only the people in that filter.

I think they're talking about their friends own custom filter, not their own.

harrywells said "I think they're talking about their friends own custom filter, not their own."

In that case, I'm not sure if this will work because I don't know any names of any of my friends specific filters, but if you do you can try it. Just use the same idea as in the post but plug in their username instead of frank, and their filter name instead of level:

http://frank.livejournal.com/security/level

Again, not sure it works since I don't know the names of the filters, but it's worth a shot.

As far as I can test you seem to be able to use this filtering feature when viewing any other journal as long as you know the names of their filters.

But in response to the other query, I don't think you could filter your friends page based on the posters' security settings.
