Well, yeah, I agree it's not the greatest idea, but it's the only thing that really seems to make any sense... suggestions like "an extra usericon" are pretty stupid when we already have more than a hundred (and if you do use that much, one more won't really make a difference), anyway.
Of course, if you have better ideas, do post them. :)
I don't need to have ideas! I have a permanent account and get a lot of awesome perks for having it! I've had one since 2003 and not ONCE have I had the sense of entitlement that I see bandied across these boards. It drives me bonkers.
Permanent accounts are not like paid accounts. People need to get that through their heads.
Also, wolves are cute.
Of course permanent accounts are not like paid accounts. Whoever claimed otherwise? c.c
But yes, they are!
Um, other people did? :P
I wonder what would happen if you tried to pet a wolf.
(Okay, I don't really wonder.)
That very much depends.
If it's a socialised wolf (like the "ambassador" wolves that some (many?) wolf conservation facilities have), (s)he probably wouldn't mind, although you should always check with the handler in that case.
If it's a non-socialised wolf (no matter whether in a facility or in the wild), you probably wouldn't even get a chance to touch him/her. Unless you tried to corner them, and that probably wouldn't go over too well (but then, I doubt you'd try that).
Of course, that's just non-anthropomorphic wolves. ^^ Anthropomorphic ones are a different matter entirely.
I'm an animal fan (the non-anthropomorphic kind, although I have nothing against the anthropomorphic kind) and even though I have two dogs of my own, I'm always very careful about asking handlers if I can pet their dog/cat/rabbit. It's just good manners. :)
Yup... always a good idea to do so. :)

I really do like my icons!
I also really like the vgift idea.
There's nothing wrong with having many icons - that's not what I meant. ^^ I just meant that an extra one is not going to make a difference; if you're already at the limit, you'll just upload another one and still be at the limit, wanting to upload even more, and if you're not... well, then you don't need another one. :)
Don't be sorry! That's perfectly fine and natural. :)
