To coincide with the launch of automatic payments announced in the latest news post, we are providing an exclusive offer for existing paid account holders (as of 8/14/05). Get three months of bonus paid time when you switch your account to automatic payments and select the 12-month billing cycle. This offer ends October 15, 2005. Read the fine print.

By the way, our auto-magical new system will take into account your remaining paid time and prorate your charges, so if you have six months of remaining paid time and you sign up for automatic payments on a 12-month billing cycle, then you’ll have a total of 15 months of paid time and only be charged $9.98 (half of $19.95).

For me, it says that I have 3 months extra. The reason why they don't add it on is because if you cancel your 12 month sub before it ends, they'll cancel the 3 months extra for you.

So when our next billing period comes round we'll only pay for 9 months?

No, if you need 9 months to make it a year, you'll pay it now. Then the next time today comes aroundn of next year, you pay for 12.

So when do we get our free 3 months?

After you've paid for your next year. They do this because you could cancel before your 12 months are up and get a cheap 5 buck savings compared to the manual payments... and that's unfair.

Still not sure I understand, either the bill date for the year after next shifts by 3 months or our next bill is only for 9 months of service. Any idea which it is?

The one today is to pay off the rest of the year. The one coming up will be today, of next year. I'm sure the next one after that will be shifted three months. It's only logical, to me... they could read this and correct me if I'm wrong.
