3 bonus months [Aug. 15th, 2005|02:12 pm]
Paid Members

To coincide with the launch of automatic payments announced in the latest news post, we are providing an exclusive offer for existing paid account holders (as of 8/14/05). Get three months of bonus paid time when you switch your account to automatic payments and select the 12-month billing cycle. This offer ends October 15, 2005. Read the fine print.

By the way, our auto-magical new system will take into account your remaining paid time and prorate your charges, so if you have six months of remaining paid time and you sign up for automatic payments on a 12-month billing cycle, then you’ll have a total of 15 months of paid time and only be charged $9.98 (half of $19.95).

Since my account is about to expire, I tried this, and it's not working for me.
I enter all the info (using Safari as my browser), click the "Finish" button, it goes grey, and then nothing else happens. There doesn't seem to be a new page loading or anything.

I had the same problem trying to use a credit card payment :S It seems to work fine with paypal, which was what I tried after 20 minutes waiting and nothing happening.

Give Firefox a try for now if you can. We are looking into it.

i just tried using IE on a windowsXP box... no luck with getting the payment to go through. i click "finish", the "finish" box gets grayed out, and then nothing happens. nothing coming up in my account history either.

*way* cool offer though. I'll definitely be taking LJ up on it. Thanks! :)

Firefox 1.0 on MacOS 10.4 worked just fine for me. Thanks, and good luck getting the other kinks worked out.

Ditto here

I actually get a slightly different error: "Unable to generate MU request."

Fx 1.0.5 under Linux.

Your extra three months will not show up yet because they are pending - the fine print says the condition to get them is that when your account expires in 12 months you have not cancelled the autorenewal. So those extra months won't be computed until the end of your just started 12 months cycle.
