We've been talking about it for years, but it's finally happening. Photo hosting is coming soon. To warm up, we've started the first round of beta testing.

If you have a permanent account or paid early adopter account, you're a part of the first beta group. For more details, see:

Sorry we can't open it up to everybody at once... that'd be too much of a flood, both in terms of hardware resources (which we haven't bought enough of yet) and feedback (we know there are some rough edges still).

But when we do open it up to all of you guys, it'll be all the better for having gone through a moderately large beta test first.

We'll be posting again when we have news about its final opening or if we decide to first do a larger beta testing group.

Yes, paid accounts only (well, paid and permanant accounts), with a 50mb limit on storage. The storage is split between phone posts, user pics, and whatever pictures are uploaded to be hosted.

Since I'm a paid member, I'm sooooo going to give it a try. I can't even be sure people see my photos I've placed into my journals via Geocities. I can't see them, all I get are the "x" placemarkers after the pics have been posted for a while and viewable by me.
