i'm on chef's cluster six and was very affected by the problems. :(
w00t. thanks guys.
i do find it amusing, though, that the entry that got eaten for a while there was the exact entry in which I was all RAR over having to reset my preferences and personal info every time I re-logged into LJ, and I was asking my friends if any of them were having the same problem. ^^;
It's probably useless to ask this here, but my account appears to have lost anything posted during the maintenance. Is the loss permanent?
check out lj_maintenance
-- they've got a link to a recovery tool for the entries we lost during the past few days.
Thank you very much! I really do appreciate this, and thank for all your hard work. :)
Thank you, unexpected and kind move. I've recovered most my journal and I appriciate your efforts these past few days.
Hey, thanks! You guys really are doing an awesome job in trying to fair and all. ^_^ I'm not on subcluster 8, but I think ya'll are doing wonderful anyhow. Sorry about the people complaining.
LiveJournal is truly awesome. Thanks!
Um yeah, I'm on that subcluster. My paid account just expired on the 7th, but I've had some problems before my account expired including some of my entries not posting, and also some of my entries randomly deleting, as well as some comments either disappearing completely, or the text going away. Is there anyway you guys can restore my entries/comments or give me that month free time since my account expired before I saw this?
I might have missed this, but weren't there supposed to be free months for eveyone that used to have invite codes? Whatever happened to that?
They let you trade the invite codes in for 'LJ cash'. And with that, you could buy a few extra months.
Sorry for those on subsector 8, but at least they are getting a reimbursement! I'm on subsector 7 and I have been having horrible problems with LJ for at least two weeks now! I want my reimbursement, also. :(
1. Like many others who have posted I'm on Chef sub. 7 and also had problems most of the day Saturday. I'm not asking for reimbursement but it wasn't just one group that was affected, it was a lot of us.
2. A lot of the posts seem to be of the "where am I?" variety. Maybe it would be easier to post an FAQ with the "where am I" link rather than just posting it when there's trouble. Most of us don't care where we are as long as it works, but it might be easier for us if it's easier to know we're in a trouble spot.
This is so great of you... Thanks!
thank you. i was pretty bitter
, but now i feel better. thank you LJ!
so the rest of chef hasn't been effected? because i'm on subcluster 6, and my journal's been offline or read only a lot in the past week or so. is that unrelated?
Where would I direct a question on time stamping?
Mainly because when I post, the date says that I'm trying to post for August when the number in fact shows, July....but it won't let me post until I change it to an 8?
