If you haven't been following lj_maintenance (recent maintenance announcements), we're offering another reimbursement for users who have been affected by the most recent Chef cluster moves:

...we'd like to apologize to users on Chef subcluster 8. For those users on this cluster with paid accounts, we would also like to offer you a one month extension of paid account time. If you have been affected by these problems, you can claim a free month of paid time here:

The claim tool will work for the next week [Correction: 2004-07-10 - 2004-07-17]. If you have friends who were affected and don't read this journal, let them know. If your account has expired in the last 2 days, you can buy a new one, then claim your extension when your paid account is active.

For this to apply you must:
  • Be a paid user when you use the reimbursement page
  • Be on Chef subcluster 8
  • Not be suspended, deleted, etc

This is making me feel better about paying for a year's worth of paid time before all the problems started occuring. I've had my style changed twice, personal info disappeared, comments and posts have also disappeared. It had become majorly annoying. The extra month is making me feel less like a fool for paying up for a year of time and extra userpics.

I was starting to get really peeved at the random changes in my layout and the disappearing entries, but I'm happy again, cuz I just got a free month of paid membership. Thanks!!

I find it quite rude that you are reimbursing some members rather than all the members who have paid accounts and are not getting the services that they have paid for. I am on subcluster 7 and Ive been experiencing problems with entries, comments, and various other problems for a week or more now.

*shrug* But then again....maybe the rest of us just don't matter.

Did you get the last reimbursement they did? It was very recently. I don't see what's rude about it.. that certain subcluster had a lot more problems than everyone else.

I'm on Madcow, so I wasn't affected by those problems, but I must say it's pretty decent you give out those paid account extensions. Everyone knows that stupid stuff just happens from time to time, and it really isn't anyone's "fault".
So, yay you guys. :)

What about paid users who are still not receiving all their comments and replys? I'm still missing perhaps a third of all comments posted that aren't mailed through to me.
