In light of the rough periods we've experienced during the past couple of weeks, outgrowing our network topology & being attacked in a Distributed Denial of Service, we thought it only fair to give back some of your paid time.

Those of you who had a paid account during the month of June are eligible for an instant 2 weeks of free service, even if your paid account has since expired. Alternatively, if you have plans to purchase 6 or 12 months of service during the next week, you're eligible to receive 2 additional months of service for free. Both offers can be found for the next 7 days on the Paid Time Reimbursement page, and they apply to any eligible account you manage (communities, etc).

We apologize for the recently spotty service, but as always we're working hard to overcome these challenges.

We'd like to clarify that the 2 month option is only available for payments that have been fully processed, so it can take a while for the reimbursement page to update with the proper option. If you only see the 2 week option on the reimbursement page, either refresh the page or wait until your payment has totally cleared (Our credit card processing should be instant, but PayPal payments can sometimes take hours to clear).

Note: We're still running into some issues checking for accounts that have expired in the past month, and there are still some instances where people are getting "you are ineligible" errors. We're working as fast as we can to fix these problems, so please be patient. I'll update this post again when I have more information.

Update: We've made a couple of changes for eligibility checks, so if you were getting the "you are ineligible" error before you should try again.

I have been very cranky and aggravated with the service lately. Was even leery about the amount of reimbursement we would be offered.

I'm glad to know that I was wrong!

another ""you are ineligible" error

Hi, I paid 12 months for biting_my_lips (1494217), payment reference here:

and received email that payment was fully processed June 30th 4:05 PM Eastern time.

The "you are ineligible" page comes up for that account. By the terms above, I request the two weeks for the biting_my_lips claim to work.

I think I might have made a mistake. I saw both offers on the eligibility page when I clicked the link yesterday, but I thought I was ineligible for the "two months" one, since my paid account purchase was back on June 3, so I clicked the "two weeks" one. Then when I saw this post, I realized that the "two months" wouldn't have showed up if I weren't eligible (I think).

Did I make a mistake? Should I have been eligible for 2 months?

Either way, thanks, and sorry I'm so dumb. :-p

Are you guys still working on this problem?

Sorry to nag, but my account strangemuses is still receiving the "you are ineligible" message. I bought a 1 year paid membership on 7/1/2004.

I renewed three other accounts as part of the same purchase, and those three transactions did receive the 2 month extension.

I can't tell from the official post whether or not you are still working on this issue, or if you think it has been fixed.
