We've gone from 17 to 455 phone numbers available. They're all east coast still, but we're working on others.

http://www.livejournal.com/phonepost/numbers.bml

States covered: Connecticut | Delaware | Dist. of Columbia | Florida | Georgia | Maine | Maryland | Massachusetts | New Hampshire | New Jersey | New York | Pennsylvania | Rhode Island | Vermont | Virginia

Mad props to the coolest phone company I've had the pleasure of working with:

http://www.voicepulse.com/

Everybody should get a VoIP phone from them because they're cool. (I'm drooling at their "Filters" functionality....) Unfortunately I'm in Portland, OR, outside of their coverage area, so I can't get their service.

Anyway, we're working on numbers in other parts of the world and the states. If you work at a phone company that can setup trunk numbers in your region to a VoIP/SIP/IAX connection on our end, get in contact with me at brad@danga.com .

Enjoy!

Is there anyway that you can a 1-800 number up and running (in the meantime) so that the rest of us can use the service (sans long-distance charges)?

Hugely appreciated.

Just dropping my wish for a 585 in the box, but if not, no problem... I should be getting my cell phone back soon anyway.

This feature seems great! But my only question: I'm in NY and I've tried calling a few of the numbers and I get nothing. I use my cell and the call just hangs up. Anyone know why?

yeah...

Sorry, Lauren, I dunno what happened either.

I was able to use this thing almost a few days after they announced it, but since then...

Ah, well, I guess unless they all want us to start using Audioblog now, then I guess they will have to fix this thing before it gets outta hand.

I'm in the west coast and I tried calling some of the east coast numbers to see if it would work but found out quickly it didn't.

Delaware doesn't need all of those numbers. We only have three counties and all numbers within a county aren't long distance. You only need one number per county and we'd be set. ^_^;

Brad, have you talked to Comcast/ATT/whoever at all to see if they'd be able to do some Oregon numbers?

I mean. Yay for cell phones with free long distance, but seeing as though you're from Oregon, I'd have thought you'd hook us up first. :P

okay, i have a problem.

i'm not sure if i should address it here, but i'm going to take a chance anyways. for some reason, my phone posts never post even though i do have a paid account and when i call the designated numbers, it allows to not only log in, but make a post. the only problem is, it never shows up on my journal. i don't know how i can fix this, and maybe you can be of assistance. thanks a lot.

I cut and paste the URL and phone-post lj code of three phone-posts into one post in my journal, trying to conserve space and be kind to my friends.
The code says [Access to audio link denied] for the two that were originally posted in other threads. Also the URLs lead to "The page cannot be found".

Did I delete them for good?
