455 phone numbers now available [Nov. 15th, 2003|02:06 am]
Paid Members

We've gone from 17 to 455 phone numbers available. They're all east coast still, but we're working on others.

States covered: Connecticut | Delaware | Dist. of Columbia | Florida | Georgia | Maine | Maryland | Massachusetts | New Hampshire | New Jersey | New York | Pennsylvania | Rhode Island | Vermont | Virginia

Mad props to the coolest phone company I've had the pleasure of working with:

Everybody should get a VoIP phone from them because they're cool. (I'm drooling at their "Filters" functionality....) Unfortunately I'm in Portland, OR, outside of their coverage area, so I can't get their service.

Anyway, we're working on numbers in other parts of the world and the states. If you work at a phone company that can setup trunk numbers in your region to a VoIP/SIP/IAX connection on our end, get in contact with me at brad@danga.com .

just because i am of the curious type...

why do all the numbers have the last four digits of "6708"?

seems like ive been around livejournal since the dawn of time (may 2000), but i dont get the reference if there is one.

First of all, thanks for the cool new feature!!

Second, PLEASE, PLEASE get a number in South Carolina, especially in the Upstate (ie Greenville or Clemson). Us LJers in Upstate South Carolina would really love to use the service without long distance charges! :-)

This is such a nifty thing. I never would have thought it. The future is here, and it's posting in your online journal by phone! *giggle*

I have free long distance, so this isn't really a complaint-- more like a request-- how about some GA numbers that are below the Macon/Atlanta area? *lives in Valdosta* ^^

Re: Phone Post Security Issue

No one cares enough about your life for this to be a problem.

In the NY section, it is Southampton (one word), not South Hampton. :)

First of all, thanks for adding all the new numbers.

Second of all, there's a typo in one of your NJ town names. Williamston should be Williamstown. I should know, it's my hometown!

Thanks again! :)

Any chance of a Plainfield/Woodbridge/Edision New Jersey number popping up? That's one of the more populated areas of Jersey.

For the Delaware numbers: "Reheboth" should be "Rehoboth Beach", and "Smryna" is properly spelled "Smyrna".
