You have a great collection of user icons...esp the default Nelly :)
That is great. Thank you.

excellent! i was looking at this just a few hours ago hoping that someone would turn it on again(i ended up adding a comment to a suggestion to that effect).
im glad this is not an april fools thing! :)
that rocks :D the top 6 people on the list are on my friends list :) that amuses me.
Well I know every time someone posts a comment to say "thanks" you get an email and your inbox ends up getting flooded. So even though I'm very appreciative, I'm not going to bother posting a comment just to say thanks. Oh wait, damnit! Ah well, thanks anyway.
I liked what I got for my #1
draft, err... similar interest choice :)
this is a wonderful idea. glad you all have it. ^_^
Let me be the 11th person to say...
Very cool, but the magic number thing is still a bit confusing.
Good work, nonetheless.
Then don't look at the numbers.
The number is magic and doesn't represent anything countable.

The fifty millionth thank you
Well done to all you guys and gals that did the work on it! ;)
So, if we crack the magic number ourselves somehow (and heck, I have tomorrow off and nothing better to do), would we get some sort of prize? Or just, you know, die for possessing the knowledge?

here's a great place to start on the cracking...
my second highest match had ONE matching interest. this is a hoax!!!
There are actually a few lines of code to mess the results up just for you. bye!
Yaay! Thank you! This is my favorite feature. Money.
Idea: What if there was an option to exclude those on your friends list? I'd love that, as most of the matches are on my friends list, and thus I can't find new people.
That would be difficult, since as far as I'm aware, the Magic Number is related to the number of friends you have in common with people, as well as the interests.
*hopes that doesn't get him killed, or worse, corrected*
Wow, that's nifty-keen.
Bah.. such a cool feature and all I can think to say about it is that it's "nifty-keen." Oh well, keep up the good work LJ admin guys. You guys rock.
I'm happy to have many features for the paid users again. It makes me proud and happy to have a paid account. Thank you :-)
As far as I can tell, the magic number is based on what interests you have in common with that person and *only* that person. For example if you have "giant penguins" as an interest and only one other person has giant penguins as an interest, that will rank higher than someone with, say, "music" as an interest in common. Does this make sense? Because on the list it generated for me, the two people on the top of the list had "seeing eye dogs" or "evil rabbits" as the only shared interest, but I was the *only* other person who shared that interest in all of LJ with them. I think that's how it works, at least...
yay, thanks for getting this back working. I've missed it. You guys rock the world and in honor of you I will now do many happy dances.
