Hello, paid members!
Now that I have the opportunity to address you as a group, I'll again present:


INSANITY
[a ten minute LiveJournal hack]

The concept is simple: given your LiveJournal, insanity cuts it up and creates a paragraph based on what you've written.

Unintentionally, this toy only works for paid members.
And that's nice, I think, because it's a reward of sorts!

The program it uses as a backend is called "dadadodo", which is a nod to dadaism. :)

This thing scares me, in that it can create stuff you can actually pass as poetry sometimes. I stumbled on it a while ago, and it hasn't stopped being entertaining as all hell. You rock, Evan.

i have never had that actual combination but it does regularly come up in my randomized journal. click here.

I just did this very thing, and was scrolling down to make sure my post about it didn't have any silly mistakes and saw this comment!

I've done that and released the source code (see my comment below) but I've got nowhere to put it. If you have a unix box with a web server on it handy, you could compile dadadodoaododwotsit (the thing it uses to do the weirdification) and install it on there. Failing that, well... umm.. I dunno.
