That's awesome, and I like it, but working on the servers would help more.
Like... y'know, the fact that notifs aren't working right now. Again. *facepalm*

i've sent three vgifts, and it is disappeared from "featured" list. what's the problem?
Small compensation for the crap that has been LJ for the past weeks. I'll take some free userpics or free time, instead, please.
Thank you. I think that's cute and I already sent some. I'll choose a puppy over everything else any day.
Some free pixels are not quite the same as having a working service that I am paying for. I've had trouble using LJ for a few days and haven't been able to read my friends' list for most of the past two days.
I would like to remind LJ that I am paying for this.
Agreed. I have been mostly (except for maybe once/twice a day) been unable to access anything on lj for days now. And my subscription is running out next month...
Well the cute puppies distracted me for like... five minutes. Now I'll go back to gnashing my teeth about the bad service, thanks.
I don't use vgifts. I do use the rest of LJ, though, and at least for the past week and a half (for me) it has been mega-frustrating to use.
Personally, I'd rather have a journal which loads quickly and doesn't crash when I attempt to post entries and replies, as it kept doing when I tried to post this reply...

This certainly doesn't make up for the fact that nothing has been working properly for the past few weeks, but I'd still like to send one or two puppies to the dog lovers on my flist. If only the page would load, which it doesn't, no matter how often I try. Oh my...
Thanks soooooooooo much for offering free v-gifts when the lj servers are already slow and balky, it really helped to COMPLETELY BREAK LJ. Thanks!!!
I'm with a lot of the users here. These free Vgifts are... fine, but I would much rather have a site that actually -works- for me, especially since I'm paying for it. It took me over 3 minutes just to get this page to load. This is getting ridiculous.
You are definitely not the only one.
I found it maddening that the Status.livejournal.com page (which is hosted off-site so that it'll still be up when LJ is down) mentioned the site slowness... but then pointed me to an LJ_Maintenance post that's inaccessible due to poor site performance. And, of course, there was no contact info for LJ, so I couldn't e-mail them to ask them what was up. I shouldn't have to rely on vague rumors from Twitter to find out why LJ keeps crashing this month.
I sincerely hope that we'll be compensated with free time, because "free V-Gifts" is not really an acceptable response to "site does not work, LJ staff unavailable for comment".
First things first. Fix Livejournal ASAP, then get some kind of reward.
